Wow......This is Really Great and Fascinated Picnic !

Wow! It’s truly really fascinated. I've never seen such a beautiful nature’s inland scenic in my life before.  Bakun Great Lake! Fresh…I mean fresh water fishes. It’s really, really delicious.  Not only delicious, but a very fresh surrounding and cool environment, and a very clean fresh air. This is really good deal, and a great experience that I never forget in my life. 

Great homestay, great picnic, I’m sharing with you my year end vacation in December 2010 in Bakun Hydro Dam’s Great Lake. I took some beautiful scenic photos and videos. The indigenous people such as Kayan, Kenyah, Penan, Ukit and so on are leaving here.

Process of turning highland and mountainous central Borneo into great lake is still going on which people called Bakun Impoundment.  Some smart natives took precaution and prepared there longhouses and turned it to become floating longhouses. Local people called these floating longhouses Jelatung. These are new experience for them, but they extremely enjoy that process of impoundment. They stay and slept in these Jelatung. Jelatung are great homestay where you enjoy seeing very, very beautiful scenery in central Borneo while floating on top of Jelatung.

Catching fresh water fish is what they really enjoyed and admired. Here, fresh water fishes are really delicious. While they catch fish, they enjoy seeing the process of impoundment right on their footstep and see it live. How about you ? What do you think about all these ? Are you interested, too ?
